Buying a new vehicle - Need some help!

Hey everyone,

My wife and I currently have a single vehicle, 2007 Chevy Uplander that was on a 3 year lease. Our plan was to let the lease run out, and then finance a new larger vehicle that we could essentially use until it dies in 10-15 years.

We have two children already and we want two more over the next 2-4 years so we were planning on buying something with lots of seating.

I’m a (was) huge General Motors fan since both our fathers put 25+ years into that company. The GM employee discount was always nice to have as well.

Unfortunately after 3 weeks of back and forth with our GM dealer, it seems we’re not making any progress. They’re trying to stick us in a Traverse with a nasty exterior and interior color and I’m not going to spend ~$30k and not be happy with my vehicle.

So now I need some help. Would anyone know what other vehicles we should look at? Again, we need the 7-8 seats.

Thanks for the help. I’m 100% computers and 0% cars. I know nothing about them. I’ve never bought non GM so I don’t know where to begin.
